Peacoats, floral prints and paired up with cute little yellow wellies, who could say no- well plenty actually, the idea of designer childrenswear i still find hard to comprehend, as is the price tag.
Although i guess it is just the idea that fashion and clothes are an investment to me, and different fashion trends come back to life every few years or so, but when you are growing rapidly on a daily basis, where is the sense in seeing it as investment, is it just to prove a point, or is it just the fact if you can afford it why not- M&S just doesnt cut the mustard for everyone?
Fendi and Gucci also have their own children's ranges that are like crazy successful, which isn't surprising, as I can't seem to open a lifestyle or fashion magazine without seeing kids that have more designer clothes than I could ever imagine to be hanging in my wardrobe, from Suri Cruise in her outfits of the week to Willow Smith in the front row of fashion week!!! wth
I just think that it kind of takes away from their childhood a little bit. I mean she is nine years old!!
When I was nine I had a fashion wheel (do you remember these), which meant pairing up skirts, tops and hats, and colouring in!!! (and occasionally throwing a mini fashion show for my Barbie's).
How do you feel about Willow Smith launching her fashion line and other designer kids wear?
