To help you get in the spirit of things, this Christmas, we’ve asked the girls at Topshop HQ, as well as our favourite designers to share their holiday perfect recipes! So put on your apron, have your mixing bowl at the ready and get set to be inspired.

Part of the fun is making something you’ve never tried before (or in this case, something you’ve never even heard of)! So whether you try your hand at Swedish Anna’s Lussekatt or Meadham & Kirchhoff’s Beef Wellington, be sure to let us know how it goes.

Pop into one of the stores below to get your hands on all 12 recipe cards! Our recipe card walls are in our London Oxford Circus, New York, Liverpool, Birmingham Bullring, Glasgow Argyle Street, Belfast Victoria Square and Edinburgh Princes Street stores. We can’t wait to get our cooking hats on!

Brrrrr Freezing SNOW

So left the house as usual first thing this morning, and sleet was falling from the sky and by the time I reached oxford circus the snow was falling thick and fast - now I am not going to lie I am a little worried about being snowed in at work?! - what a horrific thought, when you think of days when you are snowed in, you always think of being buried in bed for an extra day or so, watching day time TV and responding to your emails like never before, so why now am I thinking that being snowed in would entail putting on layers of samples and hoping there are enough tea bags in the cupboard eeek.

At least it looks pretty outside the window!

I can't believe it!

I was a huge huge fan of the OC back in the day to the point I even have all the box sets and like nothing more to watch an episode here and there to remind me of the good old T4 Sunday mornings.

One of my faves was obviously Mischa Barton (Marissa) but as everyone is aware she kinda derailed over the last couple of years, and the girl we all thought had paved her way for a successful career suddenly did a 180 like many young Hollywood stars do.

AND now literally from NOWHERE she is on the new cover of Tatler?! Looking just like the Marissa we all love and know, back to the cute girl next door.

Well good on you girl...hopefully 2011 will be a good year for you too!

Rhianna does GQ....again

Absolutely loving Rhianna's cover shoot for British GQ's January edition!!

The title is labeled 'Red Hot' and it is defiantly that!! Everything about her in these images portrays a sexy goddess that I am sure fellas and ladies alike will appreciate!

Heel Condom?

I have just come across the strangest but kinda cool thing...the heel condom; an easy and cheap way of sprucing up those old glad rag heels and turning heads with the clitter clatter of your heels!

You can recycle them as much as you want and use them on all mid to high heels in your wardrobe!

(And they are so cheap you really will think twice about buying a new pair of heelies- where your comfiest ones with a bit more jazzle)

My Fave Fact of The Day

Soooooo word on the street is that shivering burns calories- OMG how amazing?!

If thats the case I should be a size zero in no time; not only does the cold weather make me lose my appetite, my office is up ten flights of stairs and has like no heating at all therefore I am keeping my fingers crossed that the gym membership can wait til the new year...or summer haha!!

I love Glitter!

Who would of thought it....I am obsessed with glitter nail varnish atm!

I find it a perfect way to dress up any outfit and adds all that little bit of christmas sparkle :)

I am just loving everything in topshop at the moment- no other high st shop seems to have so much of what I want under one roof- its like the same feeling I used to get when I went to Toys R Us as a child!

Kate Moss loves the X factor...I mean Cher

So very unexpected but apparently Ms Moss is loving Cher from the X Factor!!! Quoting that she believes Cher has star quality and that she would like to work with her in some way in the future!

Apparently Kate thinks that Cher has the same 'know it all swagger' that she had when first starting her career!!

Well I don't know about you but I am keeping my fingers crossed that they do work on some kind of collaboration!! What do you think?

Its All So Quiet

So as the run up to Xmas is approaching faster than we all expected and snow begins to fall on the ground (in most places) the world of PR seems to be busy but the call ins begin to nod off.

At first I wondered what was happening? fashion doesn't sleep as far as I know so why this sudden lack of movement?

Whilst busy rushing around to prepare for a clients SS11 press event this week I had little or no time to ponder on these thoughts and it wasn't until the event - held at Kettners this Wednesday evening and talking to a room filled with stylists, freelancers and press from an array of publications from Company, Cosmo, Fabulous, The X Magazine, the nationals and many many more than I realised the reason why- and stupid really because the answer had been under my nose the entire time.

Press days: this week alone there was River Island, Shu, Office, Urban Outfitters, New Look, Very.co.uk, Topshop, Yellow Door, Essence Comms the list goes on and on!

I am really excited to see what each new company has to offer in the new year!!! Does anyone have a sneak peak for me??

Traffic Free Shopping Day...

is still my idea of a nightmare! ok so the roads are closed on Oxford St and Regents St this weekend big woop- all that means is hundreds more people that are normally sensible and stay away from the hectic elbow pushing on the weekend decide it would be a perfect day to do their Christmas shopping...meaning that people traffic more than doubles- no thanks.

For those that work in Central I think the idea of spending a weekend fighting for room to walk just seems awful- stay at home, relax and shop online its 2010!

However today I had no choice but to venture into the chaos as I was working for a client - with the other girls from my office and therefore set off bright and early oh and obviously freezing...I am not going to lie and say I was thrilled about working but I will admit that on arriving to fairly calm Oxford st and seeing the live models in the windows, the 20% off every store, the marching band singing carols, grown men dressed an elves and giant candy canes I was slightly cheered up!

The traffic free shopping day is I am sure a fun family day out and even though its not my cup of tea its definitely made me feel festive!!!

Role on Christmas - I even have an app on my iphone that's a virtual countdown and advent calendar!! hehe

ATP Tennis!

So this Tuesday courtesy of the bf I got to go and watch my first proper tennis match! And not just any tennis match an ATP tennis match, where the top 8 players from around the world battle it out in our very own London town.

Sunny has been working all hours designing all the graphics for the event - which looked great!!!!

On arriving we had our tickets upgraded and were sat 3 rows from the front, amazing but very scary as I constantly yelped every time the ball was flying across the court in our direction.At first I was bored and thought jeeze how long is this going to go on for, 6 sets of this and 3 games in that etc I was very confused, but then all of a sudden just like a flick of a switch I was loving it and not wanting it to end.

However I found out 2 things the next day and was gutted:

1) Kylie was there!!!!! sat in the same effin room as me and I didn't see her!!! major bummer
2) I missed the Lacoste Lounge in the VIP lounge/ fan zone, with celebs hanging around such as Rose Bryne and Kelly Brook!

Somethings Are Like Shoes...You Know Instantly If They Don't Fit!

I think life is difficult, don't you?
Things never seem to be easy even if you are a good person and always try and do the right things, make the right choices & surround yourself with the right people.
The truth is we actually have little if not any control over what happens to us and our lives.
My philosophy is that life choices are kinda like shoes.
You try a pair on and there are categories to which the shoes fall into.
Some shoes you put on and know instantly they don't fit.
Some feel like they fit and after that one strut around the shoe shop you know that you would never wear these again and kick them off your feet.
There are the shoes that fit perfectly but just don't have much longevity to them.
There are the shoes that look amazing and you just have to have them in your possession which you later realise were a complete waste of money and they haven't added anything to your life.
But there are also those shoes that are your feet's best friend, they never let you down, the shoes that you have loved since the first time you wore them til yesterday - the shoes that have longevity, your trust, your faith and understanding. These are the shoes that make life OK and keep on walking looking for the right things in life.

NB. Never throw these shoes away!

Once again I am tired

Hello all of you out there...once again I am so effing tired and after being in front of a computer all day I can barely believe I have come home and switched on my laptop (how sad really) n e who I have so many thoughts and feelings running through me right now like an electric current that I wish I had the time and energy to convey all my beliefs, wonders and queries to the void that is my blog once I have completed my rant and clicked publish...but i don't

I am however in much hope that my energy shall return tomorrow and that I can post to my hearts content on possibly fashion trends I hate. those i love. my wonderment at how anyone can actually afford things n e more let alone fashion items. the reality of working in the industry. the medias portrayal of everything. my likes. dislikes. those i love. oh and cupcakes....and other lovely cool things (remember guys its just my opinion so please don't take n e thing i say to heart) x

Window displays seem to get me feeling all festive and Selfridges are always well known to show the high street how it is done, and this year is no different- it is certainly eye popping

Do It Online- Style

As the evening seems to start at 3pm, and you feeling like you haven't seen sunlight in quite some time- the wind is blowing bitter cold and for some reason the lyrics have been changed to 'let it rain, let it rain, let it rain' I am guessing that I am not the only one who is literally horrified by the thought of dare i say the words Christmas shopping!?

Isn't giving gifts at Christmas is supposed to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside? Then why are we all feeling stressed and anxious and just cant seem to put a date in the diary to go and get the deed done.

Chromeo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Last night we went to see Chromeo play at the roundhouse and they were AMAZING!!

Absolutely love them and their music, you just look around and everyone is happy, dancing, singing along and not wanting the gig to end.

I had never been to the round house before but I thought the venue was cool, very laid back vibes.

Chromeo have officially made it onto my favorites list- if you haven't hear of them before you need to go to itunes press download and enjoy!

who knew Harry Potter could be so glam

The red carpet was packed this week for the premier of the new Harry Potter film 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1'

Emma Watson of course looked truly stunning- reminding us all of how far she has come from the frizzy haired wannabe witch all those years ago.

All the cast from the Harry Potter film including writer JK Rowling filled the red carpet and fans with screams.

There were also a few extra guests - fashion vote has to go to Emma W and Rebbecca F! Well done girlie's!

Gamu is STILL fighting back

Word on the street is that Gamu (X-factor contestant) is releasing a charity single at the same time as the winning X-factor single is released. The battle is obviously not over- however I was not a fan of Gamu in the first place so now she is just becoming even more annoying!

You didn't make it this time- stop trying to connect yourself with X-factor even more- I would have more respect for her if she just did it on her own as that would proving her point enough?!

Yellow Door Press Day

On Thursday I had to rush from work over to the Yellow Door SS11 press day; the offices were so cool and the layout was fresh and fun! with gorgeous white and yellow flowers, bright prints, and funky music playing in the background, it was easy to forget the miserable cold weather that was just outside, as we pealed off our coats and scarves and looked at what was in store for our wardrobes in the new year.

The Acne boots were definitely my favorite and cannot wait for summer to hurry up so i can make my purchases!!!

Katy Cupcake

So on Thursday night Katy Perry performed at the Victoria Secret Fashion show, looking just as fierce and sexy as the models! Her style is so unique and i doubt that any other woman could pull off wearing the outfits she does.

I think she looks like a gorgeous cupcake in these outfits?!
